The Muse for the Study
“Tasked with designing the study space, the studio first sought to establish who this room was for. Coming up with the idea of a muse, it enabled the studio to introduce a sense of theatrics to the design. Stephanie has long been inspired by Freddie Mercury - the clothes, energy and unbounding uniqueness - and she found herself constantly thinking of his 'Killer Queen' from the 1974 Queen hit.
To her the 'Killer Queen' is a strong, independent woman who travels the world, has broad interests and a rich life. She dresses well and you always want to talk with her - she is sharp and intelligent yet has a wild side that makes for the best experiences. With the Killer Queen in mind, the studio designed a study that was deeply layered, filled with rich materials and objet, all reflecting the eclectic and adventurous life of the Killer Queen.”
