Emma Peascod

Emma Peascod is internationally recognised for her pioneering, sumptuous gilded designs. Combining Japanese aesthetics with a love of atmospheric textures and materials, her designs draw inspiration from the traditional verre églomisé process of reverse glass gilding.

Having graduated in Fine Art at Central Saint Martin’s in London, Emma spent a period in Japan learning traditional craft techniques such as sumi-e (Japanese ink painting) and the foundations of washi paper-making with some of the country’s master craftspeople. Emma’s experiences with these intricate processes and her diverse cultural background have been formative in developing her distinct aesthetic identity.
