Peascod have loosely themed this collection around a central idea of nature, specifically taking reference from detailed aspects of their rural Somerset location. The work carefully eschews the romanticisation that cast this space as a bucolic idyll, and is also careful not to portray a place that is simply pastoral.
Instead, the works have an edge. Thorns tangle and light scatters. Ever present is the rich pallet of oxidation and decay. This is a nature of both light and dark, of cycles of change and flux.
